Wayne Bennett returns to Brisbane for the first time since deflecting to Souths last season as the Broncos host the Bunnies on Friday night.

Brisbane is in a rich vein of form, losing just once in its past seven games and that form continued last round with a 24-12 win against Penrith.

The Bunnies aren’t enjoying their best stretch of the season and after winning 10 of their first 11 games, find themselves outside the top four for the first time this season after a 14-8 loss to the Dogs last round.

Braidon Burns and Tom Burgess are out for the Bunnies, while Sam Burgess will be given until game time to prove his fitness, although he is far from 100 per cent. The Broncos will miss Jake Turpin and Tevita Pangai Junior to suspension and draft in Matt Gillett and Sean O’Sullivan as replacements.

In round 8 it was all Souths as they ran away with a 38-6 win against a listless Broncos. The Wolf thinks the tables will turn on Friday night and getting the Broncos as underdogs is great value as they should win this one based on recent form.

Wolf Facts
