The match of the round is also round 23’s final game when Canberra hosts Manly at GIO Stadium. The Raiders have had a challenging recent schedule, with this their third game in a row against top four sides. A four-point loss to the Roosters was followed by a rousing four-point win at Melbourne last round that has moved them to third on the table.

Manly has also burst into the top four after winning for the third time in four games, beating Wests 32-12.

Ryan Sutton comes in for the injured Joe Tapine in otherwise settled lineups, as expected.

In round 7 the Sea Eagles used a dominant second half to win 24-20 after falling behind 12-0 early.

Both of these teams are real contenders for the premiership, both scoring more than 20 points per game and in the top four for fewest points conceded per game in 2019.

The Wolf is going to enjoy this finals preview and favour the underdog Sea Eagles, who have won four of their past five against the Green Machine.
