In a fixture that could have massive repercussions at both ends of the table, Hull-Huddersfield looks a one-sided fixture on paper.

The Giants have won just twice in ten games, meaning they sit tenth but level on points with Hull KR and London below them. Meanwhile, FC, though winning only three from their last eight, are fourth and are just two wins from finishing in the top five play-offs.

Though Hull overcame Huddersfield in March, the Giants thumped them at the Magic Weekend 55-2, which, ironically, was Huddersfield’s biggest victory of the season. And, the Giants have won two of their last three away games as Hull too are down on confidence after getting battered by Salford, 44-22, last week.

Hull’s Ratu Naulogo drops out of Lee Radford’s squad, replaced with Jack Logan. Kieran Buchanan also comes in for fellow teenager Jack Brown. Meanwhile, Simon Woolford has named Jon Luke Kirby and Chester Butler as Oliver Roberts and Innes Senior drop out.

However, Simon Woolford’s Giants are on a slippery slope; they have scored just two tries in three games and another heavy defeat could see the Giants fall even further into the mire. Hull, on the other hand, are looking to consolidate their place in the top five and should be aiming for a big victory. HULL FC FOR THE WIN
