A ‘four-pointer’ near the top of the table, Hull FC host Wigan in what should be the most entertaining game of the round.

The black-and-whites, on the back of a semi-final cup defeat to Warrington, will be hungry to avenge what many fans felt was their only shot of silverware, whilst Wigan will be determined to keep their momentum up in the league after six wins in seven.

FC have won six of their last ten home games, though Wigan have won five of their last ten away, yet the Warriors have a great record on Humberside, losing just twice in 13 games at the KCOM Stadium.

Buoyed by the news that star Aussie fullback Bevan French and hard-hitting George Burgess have signed for the club, there is a good feeling around the Wigan club at the moment which they will be hoping to carry into this fixture.

Wigan are currently fourth in the Super League table, four points behind Hull FC but level on points with Castleford and Catalans in fifth and sixth respectively. Tommy Leuluai, Sean O’Loughlin and Joe Burgess are included in the 19-man squad after missing lengthy periods whilst Masi Matongo replaces the sidelined Sika Manu for Hull FC. Jake Connor has also shaken off an ankle problem to retain his place.

The Warriors are in a good place at present; Adrian Lam has turned his side around from their dismal form at the beginning of the year with just two wins in 13 games. Zak Hardaker is firing on all cylinders and Wigan look a threat along the backline. Hull will still be licking their wounds from their Challenge Cup exit and will be on the receiving end of a Warriors’ onslaught.
