The battle of all battles at the wrong end of the Super League, Wakefield-London promises to be full of nerves and drama. Whilst the Broncos have had a superb season after earning promotion just a year before, Wakefield have had an incredibly disappointing one after being tipped as play-off hopefuls before the season began.
London have already got the better of Trinity twice in the capital this season as Wakefield fell to a 40-point defeat on both occasions. But, in front of their own home fans, Trinity are a different animal, winning seven times in contrast to just three victories away.
Wakefield boss Chris Chester makes just one change with Ryan Atkins poised to make his second debut for the club. He replaced Anthony England who is out with injury. On the other hand, Danny Ward has the luxury of naming the same 19-man squad that defeated Hull KR last weekend.
Whilst Wakefield sit ninth, a defeat against London and victories for Hull KR and Huddersfield will signal the end of their Super League status. And, buoyed by a superb 20-16 triumph over Hull KR in the last round, the Broncos have nothing to lose and everything to gain. London to secure their top-flight spot in eventful and exciting fashion.
