Touch Rugby League’s exciting Foundation Series moves to Leeds on Saturday 25 September, with five men’s and three women’s sides in action at the Oulton Raiders club.
Starting at 10.30am, Saturday’s event is part of a Rugby League double-header with the Raiders’ open age side in cup action from 2.30pm. Taking part are foundation teams from Hull FC, Hull KR, Leeds and Newcastle, in what will be a day-long feast of Rugby League across four pitches.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day and volunteers from the Oulton club will be running a bucket collection to raise funds for their junior section.
Touch Rugby League is a minimal contact version of the sport, where defenders make tackles by simply touching the ball, clothing or body of their opponent. The game offers incredible experiences for players of all ages and abilities, and anybody wanting to take up the game can simply email ashleigh.seddon@rfl.co.uk to find their nearest club.
Touch RL is part of an RFL social Rugby League offer which also includes Masters RL, Try Tag Rugby and X-League.
