Doncaster will face Workington in the Betfred League One promotion final after fighting back to secure a dramatic, last-gasp 28-26 victory over Keighley Cougars at Cougar Park.
Having gone 26-12 down with just over 20 minutes to go, the visitors turned things around thanks to two tries from Liam Johnson, one from Jason Tali in between and two conversions from Jake Sweeting.
Johnson crossed for his second right at the death as the hooter sounded, with Sweeting adding the extras to seal the win.
Keighley’s four tries had been registered by Jack Miller – also scorer of four conversions and a penalty – Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e, Scott Murrell and Charlie Graham, while the two others from Doncaster came via Alex Holdstock and Matty Beharrell, who converted both of those efforts.
Doncaster now take on Workington at Derwent Park next Sunday for a place in the Championship.
