After winning the minor premiership and losing just one game in the regular season, the Sunshine Coast Falcons had a disappointing end to the 2019 Intrust Super Cup season, as they were eliminated in the Preliminary Final. The Northern Pride on the other hand languished in the bottom four. On the last two occasions these teams met, the Falcons put 50 points past the Pride, so the focus will be on defence for Pride captain Chris Ostwald and his squad in this one.
