The shock result of the first week of the NRL finals was the Storm’s narrow 12-10 loss to the Canberra Raiders. Melbourne took an 8-6 lead in the 46th minute and looked certain to hold Canberra out, but an opportunistic try by John Bateman in the 77th minute meant Canberra secured a famous win.
The Storm will face a test from an Eels side that travels south full of confidence. Parra thumped Brisbane 58-0, recording the biggest ever win in NRL finals history.
They are $3.05 underdogs to beat the minor premiers, who are $1.38 favourites in the head to head market.
In one meeting this season, the Storm walloped the Eels 64-10 in Magic Round. The two sides played a close final in 2017, with the Storm winning 18-16.
The Wolf expects Melbourne to breathe fire on Saturday night, put the Eels to the sword and win by double digits, with Parra a far different side on the road compared to at Bankwest Stadium.
