Neither side enjoyed success last weekend, with Salford going down 50-12 against Leeds and the Tigers being defeated by Wigan, 30-22. As such, Castleford sit in sixth in the Super League table now having lost five games from nine. Salford, meanwhile, sit in ninth with just two wins from eight.
The announcement that Niall Evalds will be a Castleford player in 2021 in the build-up to the fixture will only serve to enhance the tastiness of this Thursday afternoon battle.
