The only Sunday game of round four and it sees a heavyweight battle as Wigan host Hull FC at the DW Stadium.
The Warriors go into this one fresh from their victory over Toronto, whilst the Airlie Birds will be disappointed with their showing against St Helens last weekend. Those results left Wigan in second and FC in fourth, though both sides are on the same number of points (4).
Team Changes
Bureta Faraimo returns for Hull, as do Joe Cator and Jack Brown as Ratu Naulogo, Carlos Tuimavave and Charlie Patterson-Lund drop out. Adrian Lam, meanwhile, welcomes the return of Sam Powell and Dom Manfredi with captain Sean O’Loughlin and Amir Bourouh missing through injury.
Last time they met
Wigan have had the better of Hull in recent years with five victories from their last six against the Humberside club, though FC did triumph at the DW last February in Golden Point.
Wigan have looked rather second-rate this season, despite sitting joint-first in the Super League table, whilst Hull should be looking to get over last week’s defeat with a big performance on Sunday afternoon. And, with the size of their pack, Hull should be fancying their chances against lightweight Warriors forwards.
ERL Prediction
Wigan Warriors for the win.
