Fiji have been participating in international Rugby League since 1992 with the Bati’s first fixture in Western Samoa, which ended in a 32-18 defeat.
But, Fiji have come a long way in a short space of time; since 1995, they have qualified for every World Cup, making the 2021 tournament their sixth in a row. And, the Bati have reached the semi-finals on three consecutive occasions – in 2008, 2013 and 2017.
Fiji have also twice been runners-up in the Pacific Cup (1994 and 2006) and two-time winners of the Plate in the Super League Nines of 1996 and 1997.
An RLIF full member since 1998, the only way is up for the Bati.
