Hull Kingston Rovers have stood down Head Coach Tony Smith for the remainder of the season.
Former Great Britain, England and Leeds Rhinos halfback Danny McGuire will take charge of all first team matters until Willie Peters arrives in the Autumn.
McGuire will also serve as Assistant Coach to Peters, having recently signed a three-year contract extension to stay with the Robins.
McGuire’s first game in temporary charge will come against cross-city rivals Hull FC as part of this weekend’s Magic Weekend in partnership with Sky Zero at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park. You can get tickets here.
