Toulouse shrugged off a spirited challenge by Batley Bulldogs to move one more win away from the Betfred Super League with a 51-12 victory in France.
The home side, unbeaten all season, were threatened with a major upset at the break as their part-time opponents only trailed by four points at 16-12.
Dane Manning and Greg Johnson crossed for the visitors but Toulouse found their form early in the second half with tries in quick succession from Junior Vaivai and Mark Kheirallah.
There was to be no way back for the brave visitors as the hosts ultimately ran in nine tries – including two for Vaivai – and seven conversions from Kheirallah to seal their place in next week’s Million Pound Game.

Toulouse will take on Featherstone Rovers who also turned in a strong second-half performance to eliminate Halifax Panthers 42-10 in the second semi-final.
First-half tries from Frankie Halton and Craig Kopczak gave the hosts a 14-4 half-time advantage which they soon extended with three in six minutes to kill off the contest.
Connor Jones scored twice and Brett Ferres, Josh Hardcastle and Kris Welham all went over in spite of the dismal conditions to secure next week’s trip to France with a spot in Super League at stake.
