Blast from the Past | Nathan “Tingha Tornado” Blacklock

Nathan Blacklock, one very gifted professional rugby league player, began his career as professional in 1995 for the Sydney Roosters, born in Tingha NSW, Nathan went on to gain the nickname Tingha Tornado.

Nathan spent his time as a professional rugby league player for the following clubs:

Sydney Roosters 1995,

St George Dragons 1997-04,

Hull F.C. 2005-06

The Tingha Tornado also spent a lot of his playing days representing Country NSW, NSW Blues and Australia.

In 1998 representing St George Dragons he went on to score 20 tries from 22 games being 2nd in most tries scored in the competition that year, in 1999 with the St George Dragons Blacklock went on to score 24 tries from 24 games, being the highest try scorer that year, these were not one-off occurrences, Nathan was a natural, knew how to find the line and cross it, definitely an Xfactor player.

At the end of 2004, Nathan Blacklock left the NRL in order to play in the Super League for English team Hull F.C. In his first season with Hull F.C. he scored 22-tries in all competitions,
