York City Knights and Warrington Wolves maintained their 100 per cent records in the Betfred Women’s Super League with emphatic victories at Wigan Warriors and Bradford Bulls respectively on Sunday.
Emma Kershaw led the way for York with a hat-trick as the Group One leaders ran in nine tries in a 46-0 success at the Robin Park Arena.
Tamzin Renouf, Georgia Taylor, Hollie Dodd, Sinead Peach, Savannah Andrade and Tara Jane Stanley also crossed for the City Knights with Stanley adding four goals.
Group Two top side Warrington were also in impressive form as they scorched to a 54-0 triumph over the Bulls.
Dani Bound claimed a hat-trick of tries and Charlotte Foley weighed in with 18 points from seven goals and a try. Georgia Sutherland crossed twice with further scores coming from Amy Daniels, Sammi Simpson, Lauren Roberts and Georgia Westwood.
Featherstone Rovers were also in free-scoring form as they touched down seven times in a comfortable 34-4 victory over Leigh Miners Rangers at the Millennium Stadium.
Zoe Teece, Olivia Grace, Liv Howarth, Chloe Billington, Hannah Watt, Brogan Kennedy and Charley Blackburn all went over in a dominant Rovers display while Fran Copley landed three goals. Robyn Bell-Soppelsa claimed the visitors’ consolation.
Vanessa Temple scored a hat-trick of tries as Barrow Raiders thrashed Castleford Tigers 46-10.
The Raiders notched nine tries in total with Michelle Larkin, Kerrie-Ann Smith, Demi Fisher, Emily Stirzaker, Sarah Wilkinson and Christina Tully also getting on the scoresheet. Jodie Litherland weighed in with five conversions. Courtney Evans and Verity Randall replied for the Tigers.
