National Conference League Division 1 side Hull Dockers have linked up with Albanian outfit Tirana Rugby Club.
Hull Dockers were founded in 1880 and are one of the most recognisable amateur teams in the United Kingdom.
Dockers Head Coach Craig Cook – who played professionally for Hull FC and Toulouse Olympique – said: “On behalf of myself and Hull Dockers, we would like to enlighten you to our promising new partnership with KR Tirana.
“KR Tirana is rapidly developing as an amateur Rugby League team in Albania. Hull Dockers are collaborating with KR Tirana to support with the development and progression of Rugby League in this country.
“It is anticipated that this exciting collaboration will positively impact both clubs, whilst ultimately promoting progress and success from a Rugby League perspective.
“I am looking forward to the possibility of having some Albanian players come over and train with us to the view of playing some games and that they could be a chance for a couple of Hull Dockers players heading over to Albania to experience the rugby and lifestyle in another country.”
