RITCHIE HAWKYARD (KEIGHLEY COUGARS)

Rochdale Hornets and Keighley Cougars took centre stage on Sunday with their Betfred League 1 affair being broadcast live on Our League and Twitch and it didn’t disappoint.

The highlight of the afternoon for the Cougars came in the form of Ritchie Hawkyard’s diving effort. Rhys Lovegrove’s side moved the ball out to the left and Hawkyard pulled out a terrific finish despite the best efforts of the Rochdale defence.

JACKSON HASTINGS (WIGAN WARRIORS)

Wigan Warriors top the Betfred Super League after Round Six and their form has been helped by the two men involved in their Our League Try of the Week contender.

Bevan French collected the ball on his own 20m line before an outrageous dummy split open the Hull Kingston Rovers defence. French then turned the remaining Robins defenders inside out and found a supporting Jackson Hastings to round off a wonderful try.

LOUIS JOUFFRET (FEATHERSTONE ROVERS)

While an 80m effort is impressive, Featherstone Rovers went one better with a coast-to-coast cracker against Swinton Lions on Sunday afternoon.

Ben Blackmore did well to take a hanging Lions kick and then avoid the efforts of two chasers. Blackmore found Craig Hall on the inside who then tipped on to French half-back Louis Jouffret who was too quick over the final 60 metres.

BRANDON PICKERSGILL (BRADFORD BULLS)

Bradford Bulls made it back-to-back Betfred Championship victories with a dominant 28-0 win over Sheffield Eagles, live on Our League, on Sunday evening.

Brandon Pickersgill claimed the Bulls’ most eye-catching try of the evening, but it was Rowan Milnes’ accurate kick back on the inside which made the try.

RICHIE MYLER (LEEDS RHINOS)

Leeds Rhinos have been in scintillating form going forward so far in 2020 and their impressive attack was on show once more as they ran out 66-12 victors over Toronto Wolfpack.

Robert Lui’s short ball put Papua New Guinea international Rhyse Martin into space before he found a supporting Luke Gale. The half-back was surrounding by Wolfpack defenders before pulling off a sublime flick pass to Richie Myler, who would finish under the posts.

TOM JOHNSTONE (WAKEFIELD TRINITY)

Wakefield’s wizard on the wing – Tom Johnstone – was crowned the winner of the Our League Try of the Week just a fortnight ago and he is back with another magical submission in Round Six.

Trinity shipped the ball to the left-hand side and Johnstone saw the smallest of spaces to aim for in the corner and pulled off an all too familiar finish despite the pressure of Hull FC’s Mahe Fonua.
