The defending premier Burleigh Bears were upset by the Souths Logan Magpies last Sunday, and will see the Mackay Cutters as a beatable side this week to kick their season into gear; however, the Cutters remained in the contest against an impressive Redcliffe Dolphins in round one, so they may not be the stepping stone for the Bears that many perceive them to be.
