Thursday, 27th of August, 7:50 PM, NRL Round 16, Bankwest Stadium, Sydney, Parramatta Eels versus South Sydney Rabbitohs Match Fixture
Parramatta comes into this game after defeating an injury-ravaged Melbourne side last week, while South Sydney are coming off a huge win over Manly which saw them produce their best football of the year. Parramatta is still a chance for the Minor Premiership and needs to win this game to stay in touch with the top of the ladder, whilst South Sydney are only two points outside of the top four. The Eels will be looking to prove a point after copping some criticism from Phil Gould during the week where he stated “They’re not in the title race at the moment”, with the Rabbitohs wanting to silence the critics who say they can’t match it with the top clubs as they’ve only beaten a top 8 side once this season.
