A 29-18 triumph over Castleford in the sixth round of the Challenge Cup put Hull into the quarter-final draw and a tie with Wigan, who come into this fixture on the back of an impressive 28-12 victory over Catalans in the south of France. These sides met in the Challenge Cup Final of 2013 as well as 2017 with the Warriors winning the former and the Airlie Birds the latter.

Jamie Shaul is unavailable for Andy Last, as are Albert Kelly, Ratu Naulago and Adam Swift. Marc Sneyd is, however, fit earlier than expected. Masi Matongo, Connor Wynne, Cameron Scott and Ben McNamara are also called up.
