New Zealand Warriors versus Newcastle Knights Round 1, Friday 3rd of March! 6:00pm kick-off.

THE GIST

The New Zealand Warriors will host the Newcastle Knights in game two, round one National Rugby League Telstra Premiership in 2023;
it really doesn’t become more competitive in round one as these two fight it out for the two points, with the New Zealand Warriors just having a
slight edge on Newcastle, This clash sets out to be a stress reliever for both clubs and fans if either can manage the win; flip a coin cause this could go either way!

-> THE HISTORY

Since 1998, the Warriors have played the Newcastle Knights in forty-four games but have only been successful fifty per cent of the head-to-head clashes; out of the last five Warriors home game head-to-head clashes, the Knights have won the last three out of five, the last time these two teams clashed the Newcastle Knights won 24-16.

-> TRIAL FORM

The New Zealand Warriors finished twelfth, and the Newcastle Knights finished seventeenth; the Warriors were stronger in attack, almost doubling the Knights for points. They were much better in defence, halving Newcastle’s leaked amount of points.

-> POINT SCORING

The Warriors were marginally stronger in attack scoring 408 total points in the Telstra Premiership round 25, 2022, while Newcastle scored a total of 372.

-> DEFENSE

The Knights had better defence conceding a total of 662 points against, while the Warriors conceded a total of 700.

The Conclusion

The Knights need to step up and make a statement; they have no room for excuses this year, and to win round one will relieve some early pressure, so we are taking the Knights and backing their slightly better defence.
