Paul Séguier has signed a two-year contract with Catalans Dragons.
The French International has put pen to paper on a contract extension that will secure his future at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2024 season.
Paul Séguier, 24, joined the Dragons academy in 2015. After joining the first team, he made his Betfred Super League debut in 2016. Thanks to his impressive displays in back-row for Catalans Dragons reserve team, he played 6 Super League games in 2020, scoring his first try away at Salford.
He finished his best season for the Dragons last season with 13 Super League appearances – in total, he has played 37 games for the club since his debut with 9 games so far this season.
On signing his new contract, Séguier said: “First, I would like to thank Bernard Guasch and Steve McNamara for trusting me with this new two-year contract. I am very excited to work hard and to play every weekend.”
Steve McNamara added: “I am really pleased Paul has agreed a new deal. He is diligent, works extremely hard and brings great energy on and off the fiend for the team. He has really matured physically, particularly over the last 12 months and I feel he is now ready to make a big impact on the team’s performances.”
