With the reasons for cautious optimism about a return to normality in 2021 steadily building, the RFL has today put tickets on sale for Challenge Cup Final day at Wembley – Saturday July 17.
A special Early Bird offer ahead of Black Friday has 25% off all tickets and prices – which start for a limited period only from £15 for adults and £3.75 for Under-16s.
After Leeds Rhinos and Salford Red Devils made unwelcome history by playing a cracking 2020 Final at an empty Wembley in October, hopes are high that Rugby League fans will be able to resume their annual pilgrimage in the summer of 2021.
The date for the 2021 Final has already been confirmed – a repeat of the mid-July date that was originally scheduled for 2020, before all fixture lists were thrown up in the air by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now the RFL has gone on sale with an initial allocation of 17,000 tickets – in the hope and expectation that this total will increase over the coming weeks and months. However, with availability limited at this stage, tickets may sell out at any time – especially with the added attraction of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final, which is also planned to return in 2021, providing an additional route to Wembley for clubs outside the Super League.
In addition to giving first priority to supporters who bought tickets for the 2020 Final and asked to have their seats rolled forward to 2021, the RFL has also reserved a proportion of the initial batch of 17,000 available to seats for supporters of the four finalists.
We make the same guarantee to supporters ahead of the 2021 Challenge Cup Final day as we did earlier this year, when the Wembley date was changed and then the doors were closed – full refunds will be available should similar issues arise. Full ticketing details are available here.
But for the moment, it’s all systems go for Rugby League fans to return to Wembley next summer. Book early to avoid disappointment!
